YOUR RESULT

—

Enter your inputs and select Calculate.

How it works

(Revenue − costs) ÷ revenue × 100

$10,000 revenue and $6,500 costs produce a 35% margin.

What the result means

A higher margin leaves more room for unexpected costs. Include all costs for a net margin, or only cost of goods for a gross margin. Do not compare the two as if they were identical.

Assumptions & limits

Mathematical estimate using the values entered. Costs or conditions not included in your inputs are excluded. Method reviewed October 18, 2026.
